I’m a musician by profession, so that probably makes me clinically insane. However, I’ll share a bit about me…

I was born in Maryland and raised in south Florida. Some more time passed and I went to my first “real” concert (AKA a concert that I wanted to go to) in 2001. The O.C. Supertones, Switchfoot and Relient K. Great show. Anyways, what happened that night was a sparked interest in drums and guitar. Fast forward to Christmas that year, and I had a Squier Strat Pack waiting for me. I was stoked and had idea what I was doing, but I was stoked. So I got some lessons soon after that, and started playing at my home church.

While I was doing that, I spent my highschool years at my local community college (IRCC) in the dual enrollment program. I went for computer science because I wanted to eventually get a career in programming games. A couple years into that, I realized that I couldn’t hack the math classes required, so I went ahead and made the switch to music. And it’s been one crazy ride since then. I had a lot of cool experiences while at IRCC, including a chance to provide music with a group of other students for the President’s wife as she came to a rally during this past election cycle and attending a master class with Mike Stern.

In 2005 I graduated from IRCC with my A.A. in music and started attending Southeastern University that fall. That’s been a unique experience to say the least as I approach the close of my last semester here. I’ve had a lot of good experiences. I’ve been studying with Paul Butcher who is arguably the greatest teacher I’ve had and perhaps ever will have. I’ve found a great church to attend and play at (Church of The Highlands) and have helped at others with their music (First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland). I’ve also done several things with school related bands. Particularly, I’ve played with the Jazz Band at various venues which include everything from local schools to Walt Disney World. Finally, as of this past fall, I became a part of the Andre Henry band. Which brings me to what comes next in my story. I may be moving to New York after I graduate to play with Andre and try to make something happen and try to change the world. I’m excited to see what happens. Lastly, I’m in a jam band now, so expect to see an occasional track from that to pop up. We play some pretty interesting stuff I think, so be on the lookout for it.

But right now, I’m focusing mostly on practicing and writing music so that I can graduate and be done with my Bachelors this April.

In my time when I’m not playing or listening to music, I enjoy watching movies, reading books, and spending time with friends. I would say I enjoy playing video games, too, but I haven’t played a serious game in a while, and I’m not sure if I really care to ever again. Not sure why… I really like video games. Seriously… I own nearly 400 of ‘em, I know my games.

Anyways… that’s a small glimpse into my life.
